JOB IDENTIFICATION:

Department: Production      

Reporting to:  Section Head-Packing

 

POSITION PURPOSE:

To coordinate all activities in the production area thereby ensuring compliance to CGMP standards as per the SOP in place.

 

JOB ROLES AND EXPECTATIONS:

Key Result Area Key Roles / Duties
Supervision 1.     To implement SOPs for production and report if any deviations is observed to the Section Head.

2.     To check the in-process control parameters of production.

3.     To ensure the implementation of the environmental norms of various production areas as defined and to get the deviations corrected by the utility department.

4.     To ensure implementation of the Preventive maintenance schedule for the equipments and machines in the section.

5.     To check the yield at various operational points to improve the result through correct implementation of SOPs.

6.     To implement CGMP norms in the packaging area and also during packaging and on continuous basis.

Training 7.     To check availability of trained staff and casual workers.

8.     To supervise trained staff and workers working in their respective positions.

9.     To review and suggest periodic trainings wherever required.

10.  To ensure the training of staff on the changes in SOPs from time to time.

Communicating &Reporting 11.  To report the abnormities on daily basis to the Section Head.

12.  To inform machine breakdowns to the Utility Department and to the Section Head immediately.

13.  To implement the monthly plan received from the Section Head.

14.  To regularly update the Section Head about any activities in the packaging area.

Documentation 15.   To document the ongoing packaging activities and check BMRs on line to meet the requirement of the section/department.

AUTHORITIES

  • Reviewing all the packaging documents.
  • Execution and documentation of all packaging activities on line.
  • Training of new and existing personnel
  • Instructing both packaging officers and machine operators to have minimized rejects and ensuring increased machine run so as to meet daily/monthly targets
  • Allocating /approving the labor requirement of the contractor workers (casuals) in the respective shifts daily in coordination with the section head.
  • Coordinating with the various section to ensure product quality and productivity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in chemistry/related field.
  • 3 years experience working in relevant / similar company
  • Ability to work with senior people
  • Excellent report writing skills
