POSITION PURPOSE:
The business development manager will be directly responsible for allocated budget achievement through team, by planning and implementation of promotional strategies. He will be required to research, identify, pitch and close new business deals coupled with analytical and relationship management skills to achieve top line and bottom-line performance for the budgeted sales.

- Achievement of Sales targets as defined by the company – products, quantity, value and profit margins.
- To plan budget for operation and ensure control of the same.
- Management of the team with reference to Customers, territory, sales, reports and appraisal.
- To suggest and prepare marketing plans on med reps, promotional materials, coverage plans, reporting structure, CRM activities for the team to achieve desired corporate objectives.
- Handling of distributors across the country to ensure planned orders and execution.
- To inform management of competition in reference to price, brands, suppliers and make suggestions to management to take informed decisions on price, new product launches etc.
- To co-ordinate and place orders to avoid stock outs and complete accountability of stocks in warehouse.
- Developing a deployment plan and routes for the different medical / sales representatives.
- Identification of the new products for registration and suggesting to the company submission of dossier.
- Writing reports and other documents for example daily reports, weekly activity report end of month, customer report, field work report, sales analysis report, expense report tour plan, and any other business-related report.
11. Following up on tour plans.
12. Do market research and survey.
13. Supervising the medical representative’s performance, assessing them regularly and ensuring the work plans and routes are being followed.
14. Coaching and mentoring the sales representatives equipping them with sales and marketing skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors in Pharmacy or Business Related Course
- 5-7 years of corporate managerial experience in pharma industries.
- Knowledge of the marketing strategies is added advantage
- He/she must have a clean driving record.
- He/she must be focused, confident, and observant.
